Celebrating Our Holiday Partners

Community Care in Action

Every year, the holiday season brings a special kind of warmth to Marguerite’s Place, one created not by lights or decorations, but by the kindness of our community. For families healing and rebuilding their lives after experiencing homelessness, these acts of generosity do so much more than brighten a season. They continue to cultivate the sense of home that every mother and child deserves.

This year, we’re celebrating some of the partners who make this holiday magic possible.

Warm & Fuzzy: Wrapping Families in Comfort

For many children, the excitement of winter comes with snow days, sledding, and cozy pajamas. But for families moving into Marguerite’s Place, the colder months can bring financial stress and worry. That’s where Nashua Pickleball Club’s Warm & Fuzzy steps in. Year after year, they show up with an outpouring of brand-new winter coats, accessories, and soft pajamas for every family in our program.

These hand-selected items, given with love, allow families to feel prepared, confident, and cared for. Watching a child slip into a new winter coat that actually fits or seeing a mom’s relief from knowing she doesn’t have to choose between groceries and winter gear is a reminder of the impact that thoughtful giving can have. Warm & Fuzzy helps families meet winter with comfort and joy– the perfect start to the holiday season at Marguerite’s Place!

The Lions Club: Nourishing Families and Traditions

The Nashua Lions Club has become woven into the fabric of our community at Marguerite’s Place. Month after month, their volunteers cook and deliver full meals for our Family Empowerment Nights, where moms and children gather to learn, grow, and support one another. These dinners allow moms to sit down together, enjoy a hot meal, and feel prioritized when so often they put everyone else first.

And then, every November, the Lions Club co-hosts our annual Marguerite’s Place Family Thanksgiving Celebration at Crossway Christian Church. With delicious homemade food, festive décor, and fun activities for the kids, this tradition gives families a chance to experience the community spirit of the Thanksgiving holiday. It’s an event filled with gratitude not only for the meal, but for the sense of belonging it creates.

The Hudson VFW Spreads Holiday Cheer and Community Spirit

The Hudson VFW has gone above and beyond by hosting an incredibly successful holiday party, and this year, they chose to benefit both Marguerite’s Place and the Nashua Children’s Home. This event is one of the most anticipated gatherings of the holiday season.

This year’s celebration exceeded expectations, and Marguerite’s Place was honored to be one of the beneficiaries of the community’s generosity.

For families who have weathered uncertainty or instability, events like these foster even more moments of safety and joy.

Holiday Sponsors Make the Season Brighter

Our compassionate holiday sponsors made sure that every Marguerite’s Place family had a gift card sponsor this year, giving moms the joy of choosing the gifts that are best for their children and their homes.

Their generosity reached even further, allowing us to support childcare families and program graduates, and to keep extra gift cards on hand for the winter months ahead, which are often marked by higher expenses and unexpected financial difficulties.

Thank you to ALL of our volunteers, donors and corporate partners for showing up for families across our community, especially this time of year!

Warmest wishes for a happy and healthy holiday season from everyone at Marguerite’s Place!
