For those who couldn’t join us at Home Is Where the Art Is this year, you missed a truly incredible event! We are thrilled to share that it was a record-breaking success—raising more funds than any other event in our 30-year history! Here’s a recap of the highlights from the evening.
The Legacy Wall: Honoring Our History
Guests were greeted by our Legacy Wall, featuring photos and stories from our founders, Sister Sharon Walsh and Sister Elaine Fahey, and families who have been part of Marguerite’s Place over the years.
This display showcased the long-lasting impact our donors have had on our organization and honored the incredible resilience of the families we serve.
The Art Auction: Creativity meets Philanthropy
Our art auction was a huge hit, featuring stunning pieces from Marguerite’s Place families, reflecting on the meaning of ‘Home.’ Attendees bid generously on these one-of-a-kind works, knowing that every dollar raised directly supports the same families who painted them.
We kept the excitement going with some amazing raffle prizes! From luxury sports tickets to baskets full of local gifts, our guests eagerly purchased their tickets from Girl Scout volunteers, adding to the overall success of the event while having a great time in the process.
Honoring John Parolin: Legacy Award Recipient
This year, we proudly presented the Marguerite’s Place Legacy Award to John Parolin, whose unwavering support of Marguerite’s Place has had a transformative impact on the families we serve and the Greater Nashua community.
John’s dedication to our mission and his leadership in the community have made a lasting difference, continuing the legacy of St. Marguerite D’Youville, foundress of the Grey Nuns of the Sacred Heart and inspiration for organizations like Marguerite’s Place.
Program Graduate Felicia’s Story Inspires a Record-breaking Fund-a-Need
One of the most powerful moments of the night was the debut of our mission film, featuring Felicia, a recent graduate of Marguerite’s Place. Her story of resilience, growth, and empowerment brought the room to tears, reminding everyone why the work we do is so important.
Felicia’s inspiring story set the stage for what came next—an outpouring of generosity that matched the emotional impact of her journey. With a higher percentage of attendees participating than ever before, our generous supporters came together in an extraordinary way, making it clear that our mission matters and that the community stands with us as we continue to provide a safe space for families to redefine their legacies.
Thank You for Your Support! Even if you couldn’t attend, your support of our mission is what makes successes like these possible. We are deeply grateful for every donor, volunteer, and partner who makes our work at Marguerite’s Place a reality.
Stay tuned for more exciting updates and ways to get involved in the near future!
